Day 2

Two months ago when I made my dining plans, I figured to have a good
breakfast and dinner at a sit down restaurant.
I like made to order omelets for breakfast. One of the places I chose is Cape May Café
for breakfast. I figure I can go there
on a day I am going to the studios or Epcot.
On this day, going to the studios, so I made a
ADR for 8:30.
what I didn’t really consider was how to get there, and get there that
early. So this
morning, tried to change the time for something after 9. I figure I would ride my scooter from my
resort, Bay Lake Tower (BLT) to the Magic Kingdom’s bus stations, take a bus to
Beach Yacht Club. Then scoot to the
studios after breakfast.
I checked
for availability after 9 for 1, couldn’t find anything. But for a party of 2, they had 9:30
available.
One trick I learnt making ADR’s this trip.
When I cant make a
ADR for a party of 1 at a particular time, try party of 2 or 3. If I get a ADR, take it. Then go back in, adjust party size down to 1,
which surprisingly works. I get a ADR for a party of 2 at 9:30, took that, then changed it
to a party for one. I get to rest more, not that I am tired right now at 5 am.

Contemporary says nice day out
I wear a
t-shirt for Coney Island and is based on a movie… The Warriors.
I am sure I
will get people giving me the chant… Warriors come out and play 😊
Last April, I had problems getting my scooter out of the room by myself. It was suggested to get a door stop, which I
did, and here it is keeping the door open 😊
So I
scooted my way to the Magic Kingdom via the walkway that connects BLT to the
MK, went through the bag check. I went
to the bus station. A bus driver asked
which resort I want to go to.. Beach or Yacht
Club. I know both resorts are just about
connected, and with the scooter, not long to ride. She didn’t seem to want to board me. I really don’t know which resort Cape May
is. This bus driver left, and a couple
of minutes another one arrives. He
boards me, and comments about my t-shirt.
I am soon at the Yacht Club.
Now I am more familiar with the front of the resort. The bus drops me off in the back. I am trying to find my way to the Beach
Club. I scoot down a corridor to find
it’s a dead end, with just rooms. I hope
I didn’t wake up anyone.
I do find my way to the front of the resort, I do get some help to find Cape
May Café, which I do have to leave the inside of the resort, I thought I could
stay inside.
I find the café, park my scooter just outside and check in.
Cape May
Café for breakfast is a character breakfast.
I go there for the food. This
isn’t the only character meal I am going to.
When seated they give you a postcard with all the characters signatures
on it. While other guests are having there photos taken, not just the
children, I just wave and eat. When one
of the characters handlers ask if I want a photo, I say no.
I am seated in a booth. I just ask and
get Apple Juice
Eggs, bacon, sausage, and a roll
Made to order omelet, potatoes, and
chocolate
Chip pancakes
French toast
And dessert, no Zebra Domes
I pay using
Disney Visa Reward money. And I am on my
way scooting to Disney Hollywood Studios.
I do notice that the scooter slows down after driving for several
minutes. I call the company and getting
a replacement scooter sent to my resort.
I enter the studios and I walk by a DVC kiosk, I ask
if they have any give aways for existing members. They have have the medallion people are talking about on
FB. They register I received mine, its
one per membership.
I find my
way to Muppetvision 3D. I take a photo of the key..
which is under the mat 😊
I head to Toy Story Midway Mania next. At one part in the queue, they ask you a
question, to see which track to send you to, the original 2 or the added on 3rd track. I usually like the the
press button controller, which is only available on the original tracks, not on
the third, so I get sent to the 3rd track. Here is the video.
Not one of my good scores.
I decided to
take a break back in my room, also to get the new scooter. Little back story. When I rented the scooter from the company,
do they deliver to Bay Lake Tower or nearby Contemporary?? I did get confirmation
So I go
look outside BLT, cant find one with my name on
it. I go inside to bell services. This is when I found out how Scooterbug delivers the scooters. They deliver it to The Contemporary Bell
Services. For guests staying at Bay Lake
Tower, Disney themselves move it. BLT
bell services said my replacement scooter is still at The Contemporay,
they can deliver it to BLT, I tell them, I will get it myself, so they tell them
not to move it. I scoot over to The contemporary. I find my scooter with others. I leave my old one there, go to Bell Services
at The Contemporary. I give them the old
key, they give me the new key, I get my new scooter. This one had the LED’s
for power level. I feel the difference
and very happy.
I figure
while in the Contemporary, I will use my refillable mug. So I head to the
elevator bank. It’s a little busy, so for
the first couple of elevators I let others in.
Finally one gentleman holds the elevator door
for me, and waits for the next one. I
press the button for the 5th floor, and leave the elevator to find
myself on a rooms only floor… not the Grand Canyon open
area. I see I am one floor too high, so
I take another elevator to the 4th floor. Lets
see, the foot bridge between Bay Lake Tower and The Contemporary, it’s the 5th
floor at the BLT, 4th at the Contemporary. I guess they allow for the curvature of the
earth?? 😉
Second problem….. I cant find the refillable mug. I must have left it in the room. ☹ I head back to my room, and I find the mug in
the frig.
To watch Fantasmic tonight, I decide to use the
microwave and pop a bag of popcorn and use a plastic bag to carry it.
And I drink
some of the Powerade I bought for this trip… using a real glass 😉
Before
leaving the studios, I chose a DAS return time for Mickey & Minnie’s
Runaway Railway. As long as I try to
return that day, it never expires, so I head back to the studios
hours later after my return time.
I am using my new Gopro 11, attached to my hat. I have a wrist remote control to operate
it. I seem to be having some problems,
pressing it, not realizing it isn’t recording.
This is one of the times I have a problem, didn’t record the preshow.
Walking
through the queue, I see a movie poster mimicking 20,000 Leagues under the
sea. I need to return to take a photo of
it to share with my other 20k online friends.
After riding runaway railway, I go to eat now.
Just a little early for my 4pm time at Hollywood and Vine. So I wait, check in
and I am seated at 3:45.
This is another character meal. I just wave to the characters, don’t ask for
photos. Given another post card with
their signatures. I eat here for the Fantasmic Dining Package.
This is for the 8:30 pm show. The
theater opens at 7 pm. I like to sit
upfront, so I will open the theater and sit and wait. Some photos of what I ate.
Mummmmm.. corn dogs (from the childrens buffet area)
Dessert.. messy but good 😊 The bill, little on the high
side, little surprised by the cost. But
using reward money. So that makes me
feel better. And yes..
I ate more then you see

More importantly.. my Fantasmic Pass 😊
After
eating, I head to Toy Story Land and ride Toy Story Midway Mania again. On the way, I see they have some popcorn
buckets.
I take a
quick scoot into Star Trek Land (ok.. its Star Wars,
but I like to have fun 😊 ) and buy myself this special coke bottle.

I go ride Toy Story. This time I tell
them I have some arm problems, prefer the push button gun controller, not the
pull string one. So
I am sent to the original tracks. Here

When I want
to exit, they asked if I want to ride again, I said yes, still have time before
the amphitheater for Fantasmic opens.
Without much
else to do, I head to the amphitheater and wait till they open the theater at
7pm. I have about 25 minutes to wait.
A little before 7, they start allowing people in, a portion of the path to the
theater at a time. I make a boo boo. They allow one
family in before others, but I thought they meant anyone. They nicely tell me to stay where I am. Pretty soon, I am at the top of the theater
seating. I tell the workers,
I want to park my scooter and sit down front.
They direct me where to park it and I walk down, make it to the first
row, which I wanted. To film it, using
the Gopro 11.
Since I am in a wet zone, I leave the camera inside the plastic
waterproof case.
I take out the bag of popcorn and have a some. Another couple sitting on another bench, see
the empty space near me. Ask if they can
sit there. I go yes. I notice they have
the same Disney/Mickey Mouse backpack as you see in the photos, and use the
silly line… nice bag.. and indicate mine too. We chat before the show, they friend me on
you tube. This is the largest theater
on property I believe, and I am surprised, they fill up the place. Here is a video of the show.
Problem…
when the dragon sets the lagoon on fire, with the Gopro
being in the case, the camera shuts down due to heat. I miss the finale ☹
oh well. After the show is over, I sit with
the new friends I made, let the crowd thin out.
We say our goodbyes. I wait a
little longer. Finally make it to the
scooter. Yes, they did turn it
around. One thing I didn’t realize,
there is no switch to turn on the light, it comes on automatically.
I head back
to my resort, leaving the park, not too bad.
Make it back to my resort, well.. I go to The
Contemporary food court. I have my
refillable mug, get something to drink.
I also get the Donald Duck hunchback figure. I lost the bag of popcorn ☹
They offer
me a cup of bottle of soda as part of the purchase. I go for the bottle. It’s a collector bottle, which means.. it will never be opened 😉
I head back
to the room. I try to figure out the
washer dryer. Wash the few clothes I used
so far. Off to bed.
