I make it to the Pop Century food court by
(scrambled egg and bacon) and Orange Juice. I am using Disney Visa card
reward money to purchase items not covered on the ddp.
For breakfast, I
have more then enough reward money to purchase breakfast everyday and
souvenirs for the trip.

Remembering my long wait time at Flame Tree BBQ yesterday, and wanting to
visit Animal Kingdom Lodge, I posted a question about the counter service

Meanwhile Terrie is telling me that the recent Space Shuttle crew is being
honored today by Mission Space in Epcot and being the Grand Marshalls
at the
parade here in DAK. Unfortunately, I have a

I get to Nemo show early, but maybe 7 people already
lining up. I just sit
down and wait too. There is no shade here waiting, but I survive. I hear
some people wondering how the Bo Sox are doing, the wife spots my baseball
cap and kind of points in my direction, maybe he knows :), but they don't
ask.
We enter the theater and I get a end row seat. The CM
spots my camcorder
and just reminds me, no camcorder lights allowed, show him I don't have a
light :) It's a cute show, but will decide next year if I will see it or
not, probably will.
I leave the park and head to the busses for AKL, still not sure of what I am
going to eat there.
On the way out I stop into The Dinoland gift shop, I
do some pressed
pennies there. I also find a new Disney World official album. Out of 36
songs on the double CD set, maybe there are three songs I don't recognize by
there names that maybe I don't have. I am going to use reward money again,
but I don't have enough to cover it, so I call them on my cell phone to
transfer for money from the account to the reward card. They tell me the
money is now available, I tell them good, cause in 2 minutes it will be
spent :)
Good decision about not eating at Flame Tree, as line is longer then
yesterday. Its
I make it to the lodge just after 1, and aimlessly walking around, taking
photos and looking for the counter service place. I find it downstairs, and
look at the menu, no ribs, and really nothing special that interests me.
There is the Zebra Dome I wanted to try, but more hungry to eat lunch then
dessert. I decide to leave AKL, and head back to the bus stop. Not really
knowing what to do, will have luck decide, first theme park bus I see, I
will go there.
Epcot :) I am the only person on the bus as we pull
out to go to Epcot.
Nice lady, tells me her children all used to work at Disney World but moved
away and doing other things now. I make it to Epcot entrance at
look at SE and something doesn't look right. something
missing, maybe its
just me and being hungry, so I head to The Land, after thinking about what
my options are. Still not thinking of eating any cheeseburgers
yet.
When I entered Epcot, lady guard tells me, I am wearing wrong hat, should
have a B on it, tell her, I live in Brooklyn, and the only B that I would
wear on my head would stand for Brooklyn Dodgers, which haven't existed for
over 50 years :)
Terrie emails me, it's raining by her, but not by me.yet :) I get a pork
chop, mash potatoes, carrots, and choc cake for dessert. I tell you this
meal isn't a lunch, but dinner. Since this is self service, soda wise, I am
conservative and get a medium soda cup, not taking a chance that I can't get
a large here.
I love park hopping :) I pop into Epcot for lunch and leave, head back to
Pop Century to mid day break before heading back to Dis-MGM
Studios for rest
of night.
On the way out, I see the new post show for Spaceship Earth by Siemens is
open, so I go inside and have a look. They have some interactive games.
The one I try is a driving game. Here is the premise. You are a James Bond
type character in pursuit of a bad guy. You have to drive to his
headquarters and stop his beam that will do bad things. But the bad guy
will put things in the way to slow you down. With new Siemens technology to
help you thwart his plans to stop you, you beat him and get a score on how
good you do.
When back at the Pop, I get a Mickey bar at the food court and enjoy it.
Back in the room and its
the studios.
At
Sci Fi. Its
been years since I ate here last. The one thing I remember was
how the people who seat you at your table, walk all
the way backwards, but
they don't do this anymore. I am sitting in the third row in one of the
cars, the hitch hiker seat I think people call it.
I had ribs, fries, cole slaw, and a sundae for
dessert. Cole slaw wasn't
that good, but everything else was ok. I go to the bathroom to wash up my
hands from eating the ribs and wound up in abc commissary. Again, no firm
plans in my mind, just see where I wind up.
I walk by Great Movie Ride and the line is out the door into the court yard,
so much for that. Heading to Muppets.
When leaving Muppets, it is absolutely pouring outside. I guess this is the
rain that Terrie warned me about earlier. This bothers me, everyone is
unprepared for the rain, and just stop where the overhang
from the exit
stops, and block anyone else from leaving. I squeeze through, make it to
the Muppets gift shop, and pull out my rain poncho. It is raining,
thundering and lightening too.
Inside the gift shop, I hear someone talking about Yoda from Star Wars,
seems funny to talk about that in Muppetvison. 'Young
Luke has no
patience.woka woka woka' :)
Now I am wearing a metal Mickey/Yankee pin on my Yankee baseball cap. I can
just imagine the headlines it would make up in
struck down by god in
waist. :)
I head back into Muppetvision Queue to snap photos of
just about everything
I can think of to photograph there, including the key
under the mat.
It is still raining very heavy, so I decide to leave the park, and hit about
all the stores I can on my way out. I find several closed with people
inside. I am guessing that due to the rain, everyone is running into the
stores to duck out of the rain. I make it to Sunset Blvd, and I see people
queuing to go into Fantasmic. Due to the rain, I am
wondering if they will
still have it. Still raining but raining lightly now, but I saw this
yesterday, so I don't care. Still walking into all the shops.
On the way out I do Sid Chuengas trivia contest, here
are the questions:
1) who asked the us president for 1 million dollars?
2) who sang one day her prince will come?
3) what actor told Luke the force will always be with you
4) who said go ahead make my day,
5) who has his martini shaken not stirred
I knew 1,4, and 5 cold, know the answer for 3, but couldn't think of his
name. I had two guesses for #2. After thinking about it, I remembered #3,
so I go in and give me answers. #2, first guess was wrong, second was
right. Rest was right.
So I get my certificate and I signed the book for my Magical Moment.
Will answer those questions on my next trip report, so think
about it.
