Day 4

September 11, 2012

I overslept a little. Woke up at 7:23 for a 8:45 adr at Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom.

Cloudy day

I made it to the bus station at
8:13. It's a 15 minute bus ride to the Magic Kingdom from Pop Century, so I don’t think I will be late. The bus station for MK is empty so I must have just missed one?

I made it to the Magic Kingdom in plenty of time.  I went to the left side of the park entrance, told them I have a ADR for the Crystal Palace and I was allowed to enter while everyone else still waited.

I headed up Main Street and went towards Crystal Palace, parking my ECV right outside.  I checked in and sat and waited for my name to be called.

I was seated after a couple of minutes of waiting.  My favorite item to get here is made to order omelets.  I tried not to over eat.  So I just have a plate or two of eggs with bacon, a cheese omelet.  I have chocolate milk and Apple juice to drink.

After breakfast..... with a Tums for dessert :) I went to the Hall of Presidents, but it wasn’t open yet. I was told one of the presidents isn't working (insert joke hereJ).  So I am heading to Fantasyland to see what I can do there.

Peter Pan was practically a walk on, I don’t remember seeing so few people waiting on this line.  But I used my GAC card anyway.   Here is my video. It came our pretty dark using my cannon digital photo camera.  I thought last year it came out better

Real crappy… sorry L

After Pan, I did Philharmagic.  I am almost falling asleep while watching it.

So I decided to head back to my room, skipping lunch at Kona, and sleep till dinner time since I am going to be up late tonight as I am going to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.  The park is open late till
midnight with two parades.  I usually watch both.

When I got back to my room, I took two aspirin and went to sleep. Something is bothering me.  Just trying not to get too sick.

I woke up a couple of hours later, but it was too early to go to a park, so I just rested in bed some more.

I finally got out of bed, but I still had plenty of time before my dinner adr, so to waste time I decided to resort hop the monorail resorts, winding up at the Grand Floridian to have dinner at the Grand Floridian Café.

I took the bus over to the Magic Kingdom, went to the Contemporary via the pathway. I looked at the shops there, but couldn’t find anything worthwhile to get.

Then the monorail over to Polynesian, again looking for a item that spoke to me, but couldn’t find anything. Took another monorail ride to the GF for dinner at GF Cafe.

Grand Floridian

I have the same meal as I do for lunch. But for dinner, they give you bread.

Besides onion soup, NY Strip steak and Boston cream pie for dessert.

I took the Monorail back to the Magic Kingdom for the not so scary party.

When I got into the park, I decided to wait for the first parade first. Walking under the train station, I was handed some nonsense, coupons and such, but no goodie bag.  So I doubled back and got my empty goodie bag.

I then proceeded to City Hall to get the brochure for the party including
where the handicap parade seating was.

I decided to watch Tiki Room, and recorded it in 3-D, here is the video.

It was close enough to parade time, that I just went to scout out my site. I was across the street from the castle, facing Tomorrowland.  The CM had the handicap people upfront, and their family members sitting behind them.  I asked and was told it was ok to leave my ECV in the rear and sit on the floor by the rope.

Sitting on the floor waiting for the Headless Horseman to ride down the street, I can hear the music for the villain mix and mingle show at the castle.  It sounded different from the last time I was here a couple of years ago.  It didn’t bother me that I was missing it.

I waited for the announcement of the ride of the Headless Horseman, here is the video I streamed live via Ustream.

Here is the Ustream video of the parade.  Sorry for the drop outs, I also have the second parade in hi def further down.

Here is a 3-D video of the first parade.  Still playing around with 3-D video from my Nintendo 3DS

After the parade ended, I figure I had a 1/2 hr to do something before Hallowishes started, so I went to the Haunted Mansion, After all, its Halloween, what else is there to do.  This is  probably the first time in my life that I just sat back and watched, no video recording.

After exiting the
Haunted Mansion, I was going to find a good spot to watch Hallowishes, but it was too late to get a good location to watch. The spot I found was too close to
the castle so some of the lower fireworks were blocked by the castle.

Here is the video of Hallowishes in hi def

I then went back to the same location to watch Boo To You parade again, this
time, use my hi def camcorder. The first time, I used my cell phone to
broadcast the parade, and my Nintendo 3DS to record it in 3d.

Here is the video of the Headless Horseman in hi def

Here is the second parade in hi def.

After the second parade was over, I didn’t know what I wanted to do.  I couldn’t think of any rides to go on, so I studied my map, and hit all the candy stations in the park.  Here is my haul J

The lollipops were handed out during the parade.  Exiting the park, they handed out Peeps.  The other items like the chocolate bars were handed at the candy stations.  I carried the ziplock bags because I had a problem with the chocolate melting on my camcorder once.

I left the park and headed to the bus station, heading back to my resort.  I figure it would be easier travel before the park closes at midnight.

The bus I was on, boarded about
11:45 pm still had standing room, just about
everyone on the bus had a seat.
