Day 6

September 13, 2012

Looks like a nice day out.

I will have breakfast at Cape May Café, so its another trip to the Studios and a ride to the path back to the Beach club.

Breakfast is nothing special.  Have mostly eggs.

After Cape May, I head to Spaceship Earth

Old Story, they did erase a portion of my NY Yankee hat.  They removed the side of the hat, but not the intertwined NY Yankee logo.  Perhaps they didn’t have enough time to fully remove the logo??  Who knows.  Of course in the post ride area, I can’t find the video, which doesn’t surprise me at all.  I do have it recorded on my own video… and here it is.

I decide to do the Agent P thing. They hand you a cell phone that is only good for the Agent P thing.

My first mission is China.  You interact with people.  They give you hints on the screen of where to go, what to do.  It’s a little hard at first.  One of the things you need to do, is find a worker in the store and say something to her, to get a fortune cookie with your next clue.  I feel silly, and forget what to say.  The worker wont give me the fortune cookie unless I say it correctly.  I replay the last video and I get my fortune cookie when I say the proper thing.

Its one thing to interact with people and with objects.  I feel silly interacting with people, like I just did, so I hope this doesn’t happen on all missions in other countries.  With a little difficulty, I do complete the mission.

Now I am in China.  Without thinking about the countries that are near me, I chose the first country on the list, United Kingdom, not realizing its just about opposite of where I am.  But at least it is close to where I will be having lunch, at Coral Reef.  Instead of going counter clockwise around World Showcase, I go clockwise, which is a little longer to do.

I find United Kingdom easier to do.  There is one interaction that you do with a Toy Soldier in the window, which I miss, so I will repeat this after lunch.  When I got the ‘communicator’, I was told that if there is too much time between interactions, the communicator will go dead.  So they told me to hand it in while eating lunch.  The mission at United Kingdom ends cute.  So was China.

Here are some video snippets I recorded while doing China.

I drop off the communicator and scoot to The Living Seas for lunch at Coral Reef.

The greeter at the door opens the door for me and said welcome back. I didn't think much about it at the time. The same gentleman also directed me to my table.  When I asked him about the welcome back, he said he remembers the hat. He asked if I live locally here. I told him I am a New Yorker. But I did eat here last night for dinner. He said he thought he sees me more often. I told him I eat twice a year here, same time of year, once for lunch, once for dinner.  As with dinner the night before I start with Rock Shrimp

Last night, they didn’t bring the thousand island dressing to dip the shrimps into, I just thought they changed the menu.  Main entrée??  Need to ask? J

and for dessert??

Fooled you, thought I was going to have the Chocolate wave?? Nope, have the crème Brule instead J

now back to Agent B.  Oh yea, even though on the TV show, it is Agent P (as in Perry the Platypus, they call me Agent B) :)

I get another communicator and do all the countries except China.  I repeat United Kingdom because I missed the interaction.  It’s easier this time, as I know what to look for.  One of the interactions is in the UK is to use the phone booth, where you get a golf ball.  But there is already one waiting for someone, so I get the second one, leaving the first one there.  I do help another family in this interaction.

Another issue was, during the afternoon, lots of people were playing the Agent P game, so while walking around the countries, I was seeing the interactions when other people were doing them, ruining the surprise when it was my turn.

It was fun to do, but I don’t think it’s repeatable.  The second time I did UK, it went pretty fast.

I get a red Powerade and sit and relax by International Gateway, trying to decide what to do next. Probably will head to soarin next.

I do Living with the Land instead.  Here is the video.

At this point, I start to notice the battery needle getting low.  No afternoon break today either to recharge the batteries, mine and the ECV J

I post the question to the groups, what people have done when in the parks and their battery dies.  I can call walker and they will deliver me a fully charged one, but the wait for another scooter would bother me. I did do allot of mileage on the ECV today. No wonder the battery is getting weak.

I now head to International Gateway to go to Cape May for dinner.

Well, I made it to the beach club, just barely. Those hills by International Gateway, the needle went to zero, the power light went off, but the ECV kept moving.

Outside the entrance to the resort, I found a plug and started to charge the battery.  Once inside, when I checked in, I asked if it was ok to leave the ECV charge outside.  The check in CM asked the ‘manager’? He invited me to plug in the ECV to charge right by the podium.

On the way in with the ECV, another guest said he made the same request, but was told to take it back to his room.  Perhaps because he is a registered guest of the resort, and I wasn’t.

If the battery gets any decent charge, after eating, I will head to the studios and do toy story, then back to room and downtown Disney. If the battery doesn't feel right going to the studios, will just head to bus station for pop at the studios.

I got seated about 6:45 for a 6:40 adr, which I checked in at 6:15.

I finished eating about an hour later, not due to mass quantities of food, just was eating slow.

They had cold marinated shrimp, which I liked. No more spare ribs on bones, but pulled off the bone with other things.

without a afternoon break, I feel as run down as the battery was on the scooter, so I figure to just head back to the room.  I figure heading to the studios was better then going to epcot bus station,

The scooter felt good, battery wise, but stalled on the bus ramp. Lucky I didn’t try toy story.

I plug in the scooter in the room, and head to the bus for DTD.

Little inside joke, my brothers name is Perry.  The show Phineas and Ferb features Perry the Platypus.  One of the catch phrases in the show is ‘Where’s Perry?’ I figure it would be a popular shirt, but I cant find it anywhere on site.  At Downtown Disney, they have a store that creates made to order –shirts, So I stop by the store and create the following for my sister-in-law to wear

I send that image to my niece, to see if her mother would wear it.  She knows the show, think its cute, but nixes the idea of creating the shirt.  Oh well.

Do a little window shopping, but not feeling too good, very tired, as I didn’t take a break, so I head back to Pop and call it a night.
