Day 3

September 10, 2012

A nice day

It just before 9 am, my breakfast adr for Kona is for 9:55 am, so I have plenty of time.  After boarding the bus, a senior class filled up the queue for Magic Kingdom, but the driver didn't let them board.

Steak and eggs

After my steak and egg breakfast at Kona, I entered Magic Kingdom, headed to Buzz Lightyear, where I got 105,000 something, I used my Nintendo 3d0 to record the ride in 3d.  This is something new for me to try and do, and takes lots of post production work to get it on you tube.  You need red/cyan glasses to view.  I am still learning how to do the post production, so excuse me if it doesn’t look nice to view. I tried several times to fix the video.  Here is the video.

Doing tta next.  I think this video came out better, maybe because of the lights??

Tta ride stopped twice while on it. Doing Carousel of Progress next.

Slight technical issue on COP, During the transition between the first and second scenes, we moved after, not during the song, rest of the ride was ok.

Went on Winnie the Pooh next.  Again, tried to use my Nintendo 3DO to record it in 3D

Did tiny planet next,

Part 2

I then left the park to go to Grand Floridian to have lunch at Grand Floridian Café. We stopped on the monorail in The Contemporary, they say the monorail in front of ours is stuck, got 4 minutes for adr at gfc, think I am going to be late :)

Got there about 15 minutes late, no problems, was seated right away.  Had my usual meal here, start off with Onion Soup

followed by…. Take a guess J

and for dessert…

They offered my two desserts.. so why not J

I finished eating.  I don’t know what I will do next, go inside the Magic Kingdom, or head back to my resort.  Either way, it’s a monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom, then enter the theme park or head to the bus for Pop.

I decide to head back to Pop Century.  I plug my ECV (scooter) into the charger, and I think I have a charger issue.  I call Walker and they will drop off another charger at luggage assistance before I leave the resort for tonight.

Its after 5 pm, stop by luggage assistance, pick up the new charger, and I head off to the Magic Kingdom to go have dinner at Whispering Canyon Café, and its starting to rain.

I take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and the boat to the Wilderness Lodge. I always liked the water thing they have in the lobby that feeds the pool.

When I check in, I tell them, I want a quiet area, which means in the back.  I waited about 5 minutes before my buzzer went off.

I get the unlimited chocolate shake, but order water too, they give you corn bread.

For a appetizer, I get spring rolls with a dipping sauce.

not crazy about it, I ask for more water… you do have to be careful what you ask for here, see the size they give me? J

and for my main entrée?? Take a guess J

and for dessert, Apple Caramel Pie (no photo)

After dinner at whispering canyon , I did buzz, I believe I got a personal best, 235,900.

I don't feel like watching parade tonight, plenty of time the rest of the week.  I am thinking what else to do before wishes party?

For the second time ever, I go on Monsters Inc Laugh Floor.  I park my scooter far from the attraction, and enter the ride, its empty, they must have just let in a show.  So I am standing and my leg starts to bother me, I try to lean on the hand rails, trying to take weight off my ankle.  I see another wheelchair part entering.  When a CM shows up, I flash my GAC card and I use the wheelchair entrance to the theater.  I try and sit way in the back, in the middle of the aisle.

It’s the same show as the last time, and I watch other people getting up and leaving.  I think to myself, why make myself suffer??  I get up and sneak out.

Earlier I stop by Tomorrowland Terrace and the place it empty.  Now its buzzing with activity and when they check me in, I see over 75% are already crossed off the list.  And its before the official starting time of when I thought it started.

They escort me to a table with my name on it, right neared the railing, first row.  I sit down, and I smell something pretty bad, garbage dump bad.  I look to my right, a couple from  somewhere south America, dressed for the summer.  To my left is someone dressed in long black pants, long sleeve collared shirt with a undershirt on, guess where the smell was coming from L

I try and eat my share of desserts. And drink just water.  Not much else interested me in drinking.  Have some ice cream too, and that’s it.  I see off in the distance, Main Street Electrical Parade, but I figure to see it later in the week, so I don’t worry about that.  With Wishes starting time approaching, I stand by the railing ready to video the show.  I am also thinking of doing a Ustream of it, using Magic Kingdoms free wifi.

With my ankle bothering me, I just stand, again, trying to lean on the railing, taking as much weight as I can off my ankle.  Someone next to me, takes a chair for their elderly mother to sit, and a CM quickly tells them, they cant do that, and the person sits at a table.

One nice thing about standing at the railing, I don’t smell the person till he also just stands near me, but I guess the wind shifted, cause I don’t smell his as bad.

Here is Wishes in hidef

And if you watched my Ustream broadcast.. this is what you saw

You hear me asking, who is watching it.  Years past, for people watching it on the Ustream website, you used to be able to type comments, and I see it on my viewfinder on my cell phone.  I found out after from people who did view it, they could no longer do that.

After Wishes is over, I leave the area, go back to my scooter, which I parked a very short distance from the entrance to the terrace, head back to Pop Century bus station, where I learn, for the most part, wheel chair parties wait with the other guests till they get to the area nearest the bus, where they then are allowed to enter the wheelchair bus waiting area.  And shortly on my way back to pop.
