Day two

September 9, 2012

The previous night, I did manage to find enough outlets to charge up my electronics, barely. The power strip helped.

Now this is strange. I set the alarm on my wrist watch, but I wake up in the am with the watch off my wrist, don’t know how that happened J

So I pack up my cameras, climb on the scooter, and head to the Pop bus station to go to The Studios for my adr at the nearby Yacht Club’s Captains Grille. It is easier to reach the resort from the Studios then going to Epcot, through Epcot. On the scooter, its not a bad ride, as long as you know the footpath to take.

When I make it to the bus station for Disney Hollywood Studios (I call it just the Studios), there is already a bus loading passengers. If I enter the queue line, the bus driver will ask those sitting in the bus seats that are meant for scooters, will be ask to stand up, but I figure once on the bus and seated, I wouldn’t like to be asked to stand, so I wait for the next bus. I have plenty of time. Its 8:30 am, my adr is for 10 am. I know they will take me earlier then my time is, so I made most of my breakfast adr’s for around 10, knowing I can be seated if I show up around 9.

I was seated about an hour before time, which was my plan. The restaurant was mostly empty.

They asked me if I was staying there, I said pop. They sat me far from the buffet, which is what I decided to get. I had about two plates, and that was it for breakfast. Mostly eggs, bacon, sausage, some waffles.

After breakfast, I take the same path back to the studios.

It's raining decently. I have my rain poncho on and using new water proof camera.

I go on toy story with my scooter, showing my GAC card. I use the fastpass entrance line, then shown around to the handicap area. Sometimes it’s a little of a wait, as they only have a couple of designated cars that they use for handicap passengers.

I then head to the Great Movie Ride, stopping by One Mans dream first

What is it with people?

A little girl stopped by entrance of Muppetivision, to go around her, I bumped my knee into garbage can. Then people in wheelchair space stopped right inside area, didn't move in, blocking me from entering.

The sound in attraction was off the film track by 3 seconds, except for when sweetems comes in the audience, he was ok, wonder how that happens? :) The CM’s working the attraction acknowledge the issue, and say, if people want to leave now, they can, and come back later when its working. But everyone stays put.

Is it supposed to rain all day ? Doing fantasmic dinner package, did I blow it ? :(

I programmed my Fantasmic Dinner Package at Hollywood and Vine for 1 pm on my calendar, on my cell phone, so I head to check in, and they cant find my adr. I do give them my confirmation number, they look it up, its for 4 pm. Messed up a little on programming my Outlook Calendar for adr times, when it syncs to my cell phone.

I Head back to resort for rest. I did ask the person at the check in at H&V, will they still have fantasmic tonight ? He says if it rains like this, yes. I see off in,the distance almost blue skies now, yea :)

I get off the bus back at Pop Century, and it almost stopped raining. I stop by the food court and have a Mickey Bar.

Once back in the resort, I did look over my email adr paperwork, and indeed it was for 4 pm, not 1.

Whenever i plan on a short nap, I fall deep asleep. Lucky I set my wrist alarm. As it was going off for 5 minutes before waking up.

It wasn't raining when i left the room, but just started as I am waiting for the bus, which I just missed. Lucky the studios is close by. Its 3:30 pm. I make it to Hollywood and Vine with 5 minutes to spare.

I look around and this place is empty. If there are maybe 4 other tables with guests, that's it. Looks like one buffet area is closed off.

I get my Fantasmic Dinner Package pass, and finish eating.

Just one word...... busting. :)

Toy story next

I had my GAC card in my backpack, which got a little wet, which the contents, including the GAC card was a little wet, so I went to guest services, showed them my soaking wet GAC card, and they made another out for me.

I stop by Sid Carunga, and look for the movie trivia, but they don’t seem to have it anymore or at least not today.

Now heading to toy story.

I get 141,300 this time. It's is 5:55 pm. Fast passes are available still starting at 7:25. This park must be empty to have fast passes still available this late for less then a two hour return time?? The rain??

Next I do Voyage of the Little Mermaid. They have wheelchair parties follow a line on the floor which brings us to the entrance doors of the theater on the left hand side. But there is a family sitting there already, till a CM comes over and asks are they with me? I go no, and the CM asks them to move.

After Voyage I head towards the Fantasmic Theater. I ask the CM at the stage area where I can leave the scooter, he shows me a area, park it there, and take a seat just to the right of center, halfway down. Perfect seat for me. I plan on doing a live ustream broadcast, so I do a test broadcast so others can view it later at 8:30 and know the URL already.

After Fantasmic, like I did last year, I plan to head to the Magic Kingdom, which has evening extra magic hours till midnight. I also like eating at Cosmic Rays for a late meal. Last year, it was a disaster doing this, especially in the Magic Kingdom which was very slow going in a mass exodus crowd with me going in the opposite direction. This year, was great, an hour and 10 minutes from starting to leave Fantasmic Theater, I am eating in Cosmic Rays. Leaving the studios, is still a problem, as they direct people back onto Sunset Blvd, and not let people exit by Oscars. In the distance while trying to leave the theater, I hear the fireworks from nearby Epcot’s Illuminations.

I grab my food,

and I sit down to listen to Sunny Eclipse.. but no Sunny Eclipse L

I went on the haunted mansion next. Said 20 minute wait. I skipped the cemetery part, and it was like 5. They asked to see my kttw card to make sure I was a guest eligible for EMH.

Next was the jungle cruise, they didn't ask for my card here.

Then pirates, didn't ask either.

It was after 11:30. Park closes at midnight, not much else to do.

So why is the wheelchair entrance roped off for pop century bus station ? The attendant commented to me, I knew to open it to enter. On the way back to pop.

I got back to my resort after midnight, after unpacking my electronics ( remember my Gac card ?:) I needed to let things dry out and charge everything. Went to sleep about 1:30

I made all my breakfast adr's for around 10 so I can sleep a little late, but can check in early if I can make it.
